Richard
DeFonzo as Liza
at the age of eight saw Cabaret for
the first time and told his mother that he wanted to meet that
lady, never imagining that he actually would be impersonating
Liza some years later. He totally identifies with her and when
performing brings her electrifying stage personality to life when
belting out such numbers as Cabaret, Some People and the show
stopping New York, New York. When interpreting one of Liza's ballads,
Richard possesses a sense of vulnerability that we have learned
to identify with her legendary magnetic persona.
Richard recently performed to a standing ovation at The 13th Annual
Reel Awards at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles. In May he's
been invited to perform at an impersonators convention in Las
Vegas. Also this May Richard will be performing his new cabaret
show Liza's Back! This Time In Her Own Act! at Mama Rose's Place
in New York City. He was featured on the "VH1 special Boys
Will Be Girls". Richard entertained at Bette Midler's annual
Halloween bash, he received great press in the several of New
York's major papers for his performance at David Gest's bachelor

he has performed at various hot spots in New York such as FEZ,
Danny's Skylight Room, The Cutting Room, Therapy, The Triad, The
Duplex, Lips, The Supper Club on Broadway, Barracuda, Splash and

to raves in London, Holland, and Brussels. Also in New York he
had a run at The East Of Eighth restaurant, performed for Eloise
at The Plaza Hotel and hosted The International Television Radio
and Film Holiday Party at The Waldorf Astoria. Every summer Richard
also entertains on Fire Island and the wonderful town of New Hope.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Actors Fund and F.A.C.T.
At any given time Richard can be called upon to entertain around
the world, whether it's a private event or a celebration all audiences
will be transcended into the art of illusion that he embodies
as Liza.
